Residents, colleagues and families at Brunelcare’s Little Heath Care Home in Cadbury Heath surprised newlyweds Aparna and Melbin with a wedding celebration the day they returned after their wedding in India.
The couple, who work as carers at Little Heath Care & Support, were married in Kerala. They were welcomed back with a party organised by Alison, a resident they care for. The celebration took place in the home’s café,.
The occasion was made even more special when the couple’s wedding video was shown across all of the home’s units, allowing residents throughout Little Heath to share in the celebrations.
The celebration marked another milestone for the couple. Aparna joined the Little Heath team in August 2022. Melbin remained in India while the couple maintained a long-distance relationship. Two years later, in October 2024, Melbin also joined the Little Heath team, allowing the couple to finally live and work together in the UK.
Home manager Krishna said: “Melbin and Aparna really are the dream team. They work incredibly hard, and our residents absolutely love them. They’re a brilliant duo both inside and outside of work.”
