RESIDENTS from Kingswood Court Care Home enjoyed a day out on the canal at Frampton-on-Severn.
The group boarded a canal boat for a full-day excursion, where they were able to take in the beautiful scenery, enjoy the fresh air on deck, and even have a go driving the boat.
“It was a fantastic day”, said Bonnie, activities manager. “The residents loved every minute – from the gentle pace of the boat to the chance to sit out on deck and enjoy the views. Days like this create lasting memories that are so important for everyone’s wellbeing.”
• Kingswood Court has said farewell to its manager Mathan, who has decided to retire after two years in the role.
Staff and residents at the home sent Mathan off in style with a celebration with cake and presents, carefully planned by the residents. They gave Mathan a cricket mug and cake from a sport close to Mathan’s heart. Everyone at the home has very fond memories of Mathan and he will be sadly missed.
