FIVE members of Kingswood Old Scholars Association visited King’s Oak Academy to share memories of 1953 and celebrate King Charles’s Coronation.
Current pupils also received commemorative medals from Siston Parish Council.
Principal Katherine Ogden said: “As a community school, it was lovely to be able to see children of all ages come together to mark this significant moment in history, develop a deeper understanding of our British values and connect with members of our school alumni. We particularly enjoyed hearing stories about how their families came together to watch the Queen’s Coronation in 1953.”
