STAPLE Hill traders are holding their weekend festival to kick off the Christmas season a week earlier this year.
Christmas on the Hill will take place on November 29 from 10am-4pm, with activities for families as well as stalls, music and dance performances, finishing with carols around the tree accompanied by the Salvation Army band, from 4pm.
Attractions will stretch from Page Road and the High Street up to Fountain Square and the library.
Fairground rides are planned, as well as a visit from petting animals and Father Christmas, who will set up a grotto at the Window Hub.
There will be performances by a magician and storytime sessions at the library.
In Fountain Square there will be an outdoor market, with stalls plus a stage for musical performances.
