Fellow residents at Kingswood Court care home helped Joyce Jones celebrate her 108th birthday in style.
Joyce hit the headlines last year when, after an appeal in the Voice and elsewhere, she received about 900 cards.
For 2025, the home put on a party hosted by entertainer Frankie Johns. Joyce was also joined by close friends from France, who described the celebrations for their remarkable friend as “nothing short of outstanding”.
Home manager Mathan Balasubramaniyan said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating a truly remarkable lady as she reaches this amazing milestone. Joyce is a local celebrity in our home and community from her incredible 107th last year. She always has an interesting tale to tell, and we look forward to hearing many more.”
